Muth's Truths Plus

12/7/2022

* A few observations about Herschel Walker’s loss in Georgia…

* First, that makes Trump’s record in competitive Senate races this year 1-4. Won in Ohio but lost in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada and nowGeorgia. Political strategy is obviously not his strong suit.

* Secondly, this whole strategy of beating a black Democrat with a black Republican is dumb. Herschel reportedly only got 3% of the black vote in south Atlanta. It HAS to be more than about race.

* Lastly, having a 51-49 majorityinstead of 50-50 means more Democrats on more Senate committees. Which means things are gonna be even worse inthe Senate next year.

* RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel lookedat Walker’s loss and declared the GOP “ground game worked.” If that’s an example of success, I’d surehate to see failure.

* Speaking of McDaniel, she will be challenged for her job at the RNC election in January by Harmeet Dhillon. She’s the Republican National Committeewoman for California and real ball-buster when it comes to election security. As Gingrich says, real change requires realchange. McDaniel needs to be changed.

* A number of Inner Circle members haveasked who the GOP has that could replace Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald if he were to resign. Trust me, there are plenty of good possibilities. But none are going to stick their neck outpublicly as long as McDonald is in the seat and protected by Donald Trump.

* The Economic Forum has projected a $2 billion budget surplus over and above the $2 billion in “blue state bailout” money already spent for Sisolak’s failed re-election campaign. There’s only ONE thing to do with it and can be summed up in two words: TAX CUT!

* While I still don’t trust P.K.O’Neill, the new Republican Assembly Minority Leader who voted for the largest tax hike in state history in 2015, the other three leaders – Jill Dickman, Danielle Galant and Rich Delong - are all conservatives.

* This is the exact opposite of the last session when the Leader had a solid conservative voting record but surrounded herself with RINOs in the other leadership positions. So hope springs eternal.

* I’ve noticed communication from the Republican Assembly Caucus has already improved. Its latest email newsletter pointed out thatwhile Democrat Assembly candidates received only 41% of the combined vote statewide – Republicans got 139,445 more votes – Democrats won 66% of the seats.

* You can thank gerrymandering during redistricting last year for that.

* The seven Democrats on the Clark County Commission have voted to ban the sale of pets in…wait for it…pet stores. Why do Democrats hate small businesses so much? And do they really think banning the sale of pets in pet stores will stop people from buying pets on what will now become a much bigger “black market”? Stupid is as stupid does.

* Among those supporting the ban on pet sales by pet stores was the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Why does the Chamber hate small businesses somuch? And why does any small businessstill belong to the Chamber?

FAMOUSLAST WORDS

“Republican leaders are gutless fluffers to Democrats, who have no shame and thus no fear. Republicans are always ‘reaching across the aisle,’ while Democrats are always reaching in our pockets.” – Actor JamesWoods
