The “vote” was unanimous. Not a single person emailed me back making acase for continuing with Chairman Michael McDonald at the helm for the 2024
election cycle. And the reasons were asmany as they were compelling.
I’d been going back and forth on whetheror not to call for Chairman McDonald’s resignation ever since the dismal (with
few exceptions) 2022 election results became clear. Your feedback put me over the top.
So tomorrow I’ll be calling for Michaelto step down. And if he doesn’t, for theCentral Committee to recall him.

As a former party chairman myself, Ihave a soft spot for those who take on this thankless job. The drastic step of calling for a chair’sresignation or recall is not something I take lightly.
