* So, the guy in Texas who shot and killed five of his neighbors, including a 9-year-old child, “is a Mexican national who has been deported five times.” Yet the Biden administration is keeping the border wide open. Makes perfect sense.
* Also coming across the border has been enough fentanyl to “kill more Americans every year than died in the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined.” Yet the Biden administration is keeping the border wide open. Makes perfect sense.
* The Nevada Legislature is actually fighting over a bill in which the government would tell hotel operators how they have to clean their rooms. Yet some say the Legislature needs to meet more than once every two years and more than 120 days. No thanks.
* Those seeking this government meddling, including the parasites over at the Culinary Union, say you’re a racist if you object. When they have to play the race card, you know they’re not playing with a full deck.
* ICYMI, the Chairman of the Nevada Democrat Party – Assemblywoman Daniele Monroe-Moreno – actually said the quiet part out loud in a hearing last week…
"I wish I could legislate what parents do, but I cannot.”
* The blowback was fast and furious from almost all quarters when the comment was disclosed yesterday morning by the Washington Free Beacon.
* Missing in action on calling out this outrageous slam against parents: Sigal Chattah, Nevada’s abrasive and thin-skinned Republican National Committeewoman.
* Late in the afternoon, I noted on Twitter that Chattah found time to post some indecipherable drivel about banking but hadn’t weighed in on the Democrat party chief’s foot-in-mouth statement, and asked…
“Are you the Republican National Committeewoman or the Democrat National Committeewoman?”
* Cue meltdown.
* Chattah then proceeded to “block” me on her Twitter feed - as if I don’t have plenty of people who will continue forwarding me screen shots of her social media inanities that I will continue to comment on. She’s well-educated, but not very bright.
* Minutes later, the Chattah Box finally got around to retweeting a story on the Monroe-Moreno kerfuffle published by the Nevada Globe. Bold.
* I once thought Chattah was sane and would make a good attorney general based on her work assisting Joey Gilbert in fighting against then-Gov. Sisolak’s COVID shutdown edicts. I was wrong.
* She thinks she knows everything about politics even though she doesn’t even know what she doesn’t know. I came to realize that when I worked for her campaign in the primary – which is why I refused to continue working for her in the general.
* So much for her claim that I’ll work for anybody who will pay me. She’s living proof that’s not true, especially after she begged me to stay onboard. She couldn’t pay me enough to put up with her BS.
* Chattah went on to lose in record-breaking fashion last November, and is extremely nasty and bitter about the crushing defeat she blames on everyone and everything but herself, her ignorance, and her own big mouth.
* So now she’s using her position as National Committeewoman to get her pound of flesh from Republicans who actually won their races, especially Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo.
* Miss “Hang ‘em From a Crane” is so far in over her head in politics it isn’t even funny. Here’s just one example…
* On March 13, despite the growing friction between us, I was thoughtful enough to text her that her website was down. To which she responded snippily: “What are you talking about. I don’t have a website.”
* I then had to remind her that she has www.SigalChattah.com. To which she responded, “It’s 4 months after the election – why would it be up?”
* Um, because you’re now the GOP National Committeewoman and maybe you should use the site so people can find you and learn what you’re doing for the party online. Derp.
* But as of this morning, almost two months later, it’s still down. Yeah, she’s really on top of things.
* Chattah is an embarrassment to the GOP and will only get worse the longer she remains in this party position. She hates the job, is terrible at it, and should resign before she does to Republican candidates up and down the ballot in 2024 what she did to her own campaign in 2022.
* But her know-it-all ego won’t allow her to do the right thing.
* Republican Nevada Controller Andy Matthews and 34 other State Financial Officers have signed a letter criticizing the Biden administration’s new Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) policy which will make it more expensive for people with good credit to buy a home.
* The new rules, which took effect on May 1, will mean that borrowers with lower credit scores and less money down will qualify for better mortgage rates than those with the opposite situation. The letter calls the new policy a “disaster” and a “middle-class tax hike.”
* GOP Committeewoman Sigal Chattah couldn’t be reached for comment.
* Follow-up on yesterday’s item about the upcoming race for chair of the Clark County Republican Party in July between incumbent Jesse Law and challengers Dave Crete and Jill Douglas…
* Odds of unseating Law are long with two anti-Law candidates challenging him. But I was informed this morning that Crete is dropping out. Game on.
* Have you noticed that all the brouhaha over trannies in sports involves men who claim they’re women wanting to compete against real women and not women who claim they’re men wanting to compete against real men? I wonder why that is?
* Let’s play hardball. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt promises to continue vetoing almost every bill passed by the Legislature until a robust school choice bill is passed by both houses.
* Meanwhile, California is now proposing to ban all diesel trucks in the state. Can’t fix stupid.
* Jeff Dunham may well be the greatest ventriloquist of all time. And he did a bit where his puppet “Walter” impersonated Joe Biden. It’s great. If you haven’t seen it, click here.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
“(Nevada U.S. Sen.) Jacky Rosen should be worried (about re-election) since she’s a generic Democrat who most Nevadans couldn’t pick out of a lineup.” - National Republican Senatorial Committee spokeswoman Maggie Abboud
