* Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced an “independent” bid for president today, opting to drop out of the Democrat Party presidential primary.
* This is not good for Biden. RFK will pull some GOP votes depending on the nominee, but he’s far more likely to pull D’s votes the way Ralph Nader, running on the Green Party ticket, did to Al Gore in 2000.
* The hatred directed RFK’s way from the mainstream media and their Democrat handlers will be palpable. This is gonna get ugly.
* Just a week ago, Biden’s National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, declared: “The Middle East is quieter today than it has been for two decades.” Never saw this weekend’s Hamas massacre coming. Epic fail.
* Hoping Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu channels Kurt Russell - playing Wyatt Earp in the movie classic “Tombstone” - in his response to this weekend’s Hamas massacre in Israel…
“All right, Hamas. You called down the thunder, well now you've got it! Hamas is finished, you understand? I see a green sash, I kill the man wearin' it. So run you curs. I'M coming and hell's coming with me, you hear? [louder] Hell's coming with me!”
* Anyone calling for a “cease fire” in Gaza today is a Hamas collaborator.
* How many Hamas-like terrorists have slipped through our open southern border since Biden took office? Inquiring minds wanna know.
* My thoughts on the GOP presidential primary in light of this weekend’s developments in Israel…
* Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, and Nikki Haley have the background and experience the nation needs as the world under Joe Biden goes up in flames.
* All three are on the same page as to why this happened – Biden giving $6 million in “fungible” money to Iran weeks ago – and the appropriate response by Israel (turn Gaza into a parking lot).
- “The Israeli attack was made because we are perceived as being weak and ineffective and with a really weak leader. It was a big attack with a lot of dead people all over the place. And the only difference, I believe, is the difference between one president and another president.” – Donald Trump
- “We must not only stand with Israel, but we must support them as they hunt down and eradicate these barbarians. Israel, with the full support of the United States, should kill Hamas members and extinguish their entire infrastructure.” – Ron DeSantis
- “At least 9 Americans have been killed in Hamas’ war against Israel. This is personal. Hamas terrorists don’t distinguish between Israelis & Americans, between grandmothers & soldiers. They are blood thirsty murderers who chant ‘death to Israel, death to America.’ Finish them.” – Nikki Haley
* Mike Pence disqualified himself long ago, but put a final nail in his political coffin with his tweet blaming his GOP opponents, not Hamas and Iran, for the weekend murders, rapes, and tortures of innocent civilians.
- “This is what happens when we have leading voices like Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis signaling retreat from America’s role as leader of the free world.”
* Vivek has zero experience in…well, anything related to the national government, especially foreign policy. He’s out.
* Tim Scott is a legislator, not a chief executive. He’s out.
* Doug Burgum and Christie Christie have neither military nor foreign policy experience. They’re out.
* As for the GOP primary for Nevada’s U.S. Senate race…
* Sam Brown (Army) and Tony Grady (Air Force) have military backgrounds. Jeff Gunter has foreign policy experience as a former ambassador.
* Jim Marchant has neither. And he hasn’t tweeted anything about his campaign since his announcement back on July 18. But he did save 15% or more when he switched to Geico. So there’s that.
* While I continue to be turned off by Brown’s incessant fundraising emails, there’s no doubting his ability to rake in big bucks. David Duffield, co-founder of PeopleSoft, has invested $2 MILLION in Brown’s Duty First PAC.
* It pays to be the anointed one. And hard to see how Brown’s GOP challengers are gonna be able to overcome that advantage.
* The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are…well, socialists who are Democrats.
* They actually took over the Nevada Democrat Party for the 2022 election cycle and endorsed every Democrat candidate on the ballot last November.
* The DSA kooks were ousted from their leadership positions earlier this year, but some of the nutjobs are still on the party’s Central Committee.
* Following the Hamas attack over the weekend, the DSA tweeted the following statement…
“DSA is steadfast in expressing our solidarity with Palestine. Today’s events are a direct result of Israel’s apartheid regime – a regime that receives billions in funding from the United States. End the violence. End the Occupation. Free Palestine.”
* The local Las Vegas chapter of the DSA re-tweeted the statement of support for the barbarian terrorists, leading Better Nevada PAC to note earlier today…
“They (DSA) have a documented history of antisemitism and support for violent extremists. To make matters worse, as of this morning, the Nevada Democrat Party has not spoken out about any of the violence that occurred over the weekend, even as Governor Lombardo and others have condemned Hamas terrorism.”
* Democrats’ silence is support for Hamas violence. Isn’t that how this is supposed to work?
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
“White House says Biden won't speak Monday despite American deaths in Israel.” – FOX News, 10/9/23
“Biden calls a lid before noon. No one in the admin can speak to the number of American hostages. State Dept. deleting tweets. What a terrifying embarrassment.” – Dana Loesch
“Hamas announced they’re going to execute hostages on live TV. There are multiple American hostages. Biden is nowhere to be found because the White House called a lid today before noon. Abhorrent.” – Libs of Tik-Tok
“If we think Iran hasn’t exploited our open border to infiltrate the US we are sorely mistaken. Pro-Hamas demonstrations in US cities and campuses prove it.” - Robert Greenway, Director of the Center for National Defense at the Heritage Foundation
