* Just try to wrap your head around this…
* Joe Biden’s national security chief, Jake Sullivan, had his home broken into by an intruder last month. The door was unlocked. Again, this is the guy running our NATIONAL SECURITY.
* Bud Light sales have dropped 23.6% thanks to an ad campaign prominently featuring a transgender activist named Dylan Mulvaney. This dumbass move ranks right up there with the product launch failure of “New Coke” many years ago.
* To stanch the bleeding, BL is now planning to launch “camouflage aluminum bottles that promote the ‘Folds of Honor’ program, which provides educational scholarships for families of fallen and disabled American military service members and first responders.”
* "It’s an aluminum bottle," a source familiar with the plan told the New York Post. "I believe it is the only package that will be transitioning, but I am not 100% certain on that."
* What an interesting turn of a phrase. “Transitioning” from a tranny activist spokesman to a feel good campaign focusing on military members and first responders.
* Admirable. But definitely an effort to close the barn door after the horses are out. Those offended and furious with BL ain’t coming back. And speaking of horses (nice “transition,” huh?)…
* Well, it’s not exactly a range war, but things around the Goicoechea dinner table might not be as fun these days as days gone by.
* SB90 is a bill calling for the “wild mustang” to be designated as the official state horse of Nevada. Sounds pretty innocuous, right?
* Not so. Some in Nevada’s rural counties object, fearing the official designation would hurt the ability to manage the wild horsies.
* In an Assembly committee hearing on the bill on Tuesday, Sen. Pete Goicoechea (R-Elko) testified in favor, which he voted for in the Senate.
* Testifying against the bill was J.J. Goicoechea, head of the Department of Agriculture and Sen. Goicoechea’s son.
* “You’re doing an injustice to the horse if you hang a label on them at this point,” J.J. testified. “Please do not hang a label on an unmanaged horse in this state.”
* “Mr. Ed” was unavailable for comment.
* Prediction: The bill passes overwhelmingly. Emotion trumps reason.
* Henderson police were summoned when a man, Ronald Winborne, was reported “for allegedly swinging a knife at moving vehicles.” When the cops arrived, the man “allegedly pointed a knife at an officer and Winborne was tased."
* He subsequently died a few days later, and the Clark County coroner’s office has ruled it “was a homicide because of the use of force during his arrest.” I guess the cops didn’t say “Pretty please” when they asked him to stop threatening people with violence.
* Stop blaming law enforcement officers for what criminals bring on themselves.
* Marion Reyes was arrested last week for failure to comply with the terms of her probation. The woman has “at least five drunken driving charges and seven arrests in 16 years for suspected impaired driving,” as well as “driving with a revoked license.”
* Reyes plead guilty to her latest DUI bust in February and “was sentenced to five years on probation, the felony DUI program and six months on house arrest.” Yeah, that’ll teach her!
* Brian Tepstein was arrested on Sunday for assaulting a woman outside a supermarket. Here’s his record, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal…
“Tepstein’s rap sheet includes 41 arrests since 2005 and convictions for felony charges including grand larceny, attempted grand larceny, burglary, attempted robbery, attempted burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and attempted burglary of a business.”
* In other words, the cops did their job. Then somebody let this guy out. Over and over and over again. Caught and released. Thank you, social justice warriors.
* Speaking of which, the poster child for social justice warriors hellbent on defunding the police in Nevada is racial arsonist State Sen. Dallas Harris, who in 2021 accused the city of Reno of being “the deadliest city for black men at the hands of police in the United States.”
* Harris loves coddling criminals – of all colors. Fortunately, she’s up for re-election next year and presents the best opportunity for Republicans to flip a seat. Now all they need is a solid candidate.
* The mail pieces against Harris write themselves.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
“Some opponents (of school choice) claim this would be the death of public schools. Think about the unstated assumption there. Public schools offer an inferior product, and parents would leave if they had a chance. That’s reason enough to support school choice.” – Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Victor Joecks
“I don’t understand much about politics…” – Liberal blubber-blogger Jon Ralston, 1/2/20
