* Sorry, but as hard as I’m trying to just ignore the Nevada GOP, I can’t ignore this…
* BREAKING: A grand jury has indicted Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald, Republican National Committeeman Jim DeGriftenreid, and four others “due to their actions in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.”
* The six face two felony charges each.
* Muth’s Truths PLUS readers first heard about this investigation back on October 4th, six weeks before the mainstream media finally got wind of it…
“Word on the street is that Democrat Nevada Attorney General A.Ron Ford is actively investigating the so-called ‘fake electors’ from the 2020 election.”
* But don’t worry. This Nevada GOP “caucus” thing is totally legit and above-board and will come off without a hitch, just as McDonald and DeGriftenreid have said.
* Meanwhile…
* Embattled Clark County Republican Party Chairman Jesse Law – one of the six indicted this morning - announced before the indictment was announced that he’s running for Assembly District 2, which is being vacated by Republican Assemblywoman Heidi Kasama who is running for Congress next year.
* Republican leaders in Nevada truly have a death wish electorally. Speaking of which…
* Lorria Olson, chair of the Lyon County GOP, wrote to a voter on Tuesday: “DO NOT VOTE IN THE STATE RUN PRIMARY WHICH IS INTENDED TO OVERRIDE AND UNDERMINE THE DECISION OF THE NV GOP VOTERS.”
* Good grief. And in all-CAPS at that.
* First, if you don’t vote in the primary, your official voting record will show that you didn’t vote, if that’s something important to you like it is for me. For some reason, the party isn’t telling people that.
* Secondly, how does letting MORE GOP voters vote undermine the decision of Nevada GOP voters? Makes no sense.
* Olson’s also circulating a flyer telling voters to “SAY ‘No’ to the State-Run PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY” because “your vote does not count.”
* Yeah, nothing boosts voter turnout like telling people their vote doesn’t count.
* That would include losing the U.S. Senate race last year by fewer than 8,000 votes while more than 175,000 active registered Republicans stayed home. Brillian strategery.
* And some still wonder why Nevada Republicans have chalked up so many losses over the last four election cycles under the “leadership” of the “Indicted Six”?
* Former Clark County GOP Chairman Dave Gibbs has filed a ballot initiative that would require photo ID when voting.
* Naturally, the Democrats’ out-of-state super-lawyer trying to eliminate election security, Mark Elias, has engineered a lawsuit this week to block the initiative.
* “Why are democrats so afraid of Voter ID?” asked Gibbs in an interview with the Nevada Globe. “Anytime someone tries to do anything to verify a voter, a democratic firm will sue you.”
* Gov. Lombardo has endorsed Republican Dianna Sande for Assembly District 25, currently being misrepresented by Democrat Selena La Rue Hatch.
* I had lunch with Dianna a couple weeks ago. You’re REALLY gonna like her and she has a serious chance of flipping this seat red.
* Speaking of Gov. Lombardo, Nevada Business Magazine included him on their “Most Respected Leaders 2023” list while his job approval rating remains one of the top in the country at 57 percent.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
“The Nevada fake electors referred to themselves as the ‘duly elected and qualified electors’ in paperwork submitted to the National Archives… Information surrounding the grand jury was not made public until the indictment because grand jury proceedings are secret, allowing witnesses to speak freely without fear of retribution.” – Tabitha Mueller, Nevada Independent
