Muth's Truths Plus

* Well, Republican leaders in the State Assembly are clearly over the target, as evidenced by the pot-shot liberal blubber-blogger “Jonny Jihad” Ralston took at them yesterday over their
published op-ed in support of Gov. Lombardo’s call for election security measures…

“Dumbest move of the week is probably a foreshadowing of something we will see quite often with the totally irrelevant (Assembly Republican) Caucus led by election deniers (P.K.) O’Neill, (Jill) Dickman, (Danielle) Gallant, and (Richard) DeLong coming out with some wacko
article to tie themselves to Lombard’s proposed election reforms. Hey folks, let the grownups in the room lead the way and be happy you get to eat Thanksgiving dinner at the kiddy table.”

* Yes, the Typo King misspelled Gov. “LOMBARDO’S” name incorrectly.

* And by the way, if they’re “totally irrelevant,” why is Jonny Jihad so worried about them?

* Ralston particularly sees conservative freshman Gallant as a threat - not only to Democrats, but to moderate “establishment” Republicans, as well - and is hoping to play a little “divide and conquer” within the caucus by sowing dissent and belittling the “little woman.”

* I suspect Gallant is gonna just laugh off this court jester. She’s got bigger fish to fry.

* Rob Tyree is one of the minions hanging around Nevada GOP Chairman Mike McDonald’s inner circle. And in his mind, according to a tweet on Saturday, the party’s job is pretty much limited to knocking doors, making phone calls and entering data. He continued…

“Establish a program to harvest ballots? Nope. GOTV? That’s mostly on the candidates, right? Ballot initiatives? Not our problem!”

* The initiative he’s specifically talking about is last year’s “ranked choice” initiative that would
“Californicate” Nevada’s elections which the Nevada GOP did almost nothing to
block other than send out a few mailers.

* Wanna know why the Nevada GOP has failed so miserably in its #1 job of getting Republicans elected for the last four election cycles? Blame McDonald and McDonald-whisperers like little Rob “Not Our Problem” Tyree.

* One of Donald Trump’s endearing qualities to conservatives is his ability to take a punch and willingness to counter-punch against the left, their allies in the media, and “establishment”
Republicans.

* One of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ endearing qualities to conservatives is that he’s done the same yet doesn’t have a big target on his back like Trump, arguably making him more “electable.”

* But know this: Regardless of who the GOP nominates for president next year, the media will come after him or her with both barrels. And with DeSantis running neck-and-neck with Trump these days – before he even gets in the race – the political attacks are ramping up.

* In Sunday’s lead editorial, the LasVegas Sun referred to DeSantis’ policy agenda as “Jim Crow 2.0.” It’s an absurd accusation, but that never stops the left. And as long as the left sees DeSantis, or any other Republican, as a danger to their control of the White House, it’s gonna give them the “Trump Treatment.”

* One last item of interest in the coming Don vs. Ron primary slugfest will be what Adam Laxalt does in the race.

* He ran last year as Adam “Trump Endorsed” Laxalt. That’s pretty much all he had going for him in the U.S. Senate primary against Sam Brown and a handful of lesser challengers. Trump endorsed him early and often…and we all know how that turned out.

* But Laxalt is also BFF’s with DeSantis and has been reported as a member of the Florida governor’s inner circle of advisers.

* Gonna be interesting to see how he threads this needle. If he ultimately sides with DeSantis, the “disloyalty” rants by Trump are gonna be epic.
