Muth's Truths PLUS+

* Bud Light is the latest to go “woke” by using a tranny to sell its beer. The decision is not sitting well with the public. For example, country music star Travis Tritt has announced he won’t be selling any Anheuser-Busch products on his tour any longer.

* And then there’s this tweet from former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake…

“I have to share something hilarious with you guys. I’m in Iowa with hundreds of voters tonight for a rally. There was an open bar that RAN OUT of beer…Except for one brand…@budlight. Go woke, go BROKE. Sad!”

* When is the “Transgender Day of INvisibility”? I don’t know about y’all, but I’m sick of having this crud shoved down our throats.

* The Bidens can’t seem to do ANYTHING right.

* After LSU beat Iowa in the women’s basketball tournament, tradition dictates that LSU would attend a White House celebration. But First Lady Jill Biden decided to invite Iowa to participate as well.

* Kinda like getting a “participation trophy,” as former Nevada GOP gubernatorial candidate Guy Nohra tweeted:

“Jill Biden wanted to invite Iowa to the WH too, but the Hawkeyes declined because only champions deserve to go. The difference between competitive athletes’ thinking and ‘everyone gets a medal’ mentality.”

* In response to public backlash, Mrs. B walked back her suggestion, leading LSU forward Angel Reese to say the team “should celebrate their title with Barack and Michelle Obama rather than with President Joe Biden and his wife Jill.”

* Robert Kennedy Jr. has announced he’s running against Biden for the Democrat president nomination. Wait’ll Democrat voters see how the Woke Warriors of Biden Brigade treats this member of political royalty during the primary. Let the exodus begin.

* Speaking of which…

* North Carolina State Rep. Tricia Cotham finally had enough of the Democrats’ toxic liberalism and switched parties this week. Cotham had been mercilessly attacked by left-wing Democrats for her support of school choice and her use of the American flag and a prayer emoji on social media.

* Cotham’s switch gives the GOP a veto-proof super-majority in the House along with its super-majority in the state Senate. Republicans are gonna need a bigger boat.

* Meanwhile in Wisconsin, Republican Rep. Dan Knodl won an open Wisconsin Senate seat this week, giving the GOP a supermajority in the chamber. On the flip side, however, the GOP lost a MAJOR Supreme Court race.

* The Democrats voter registration advantage in Nevada shrunk to just over 46,000 last month. If the Nevada GOP knew what it was doing and actually did it, that advantage could be wiped out by Election Day ’24. Don’t hold your breath.

* Nevada Democrat Sen. “Wacky” Jacky Rosen officially announced her re-election bid on Wednesday, claiming she has “lowered costs for the middle class.” She obviously doesn’t pump her own gas or do her own grocery shopping.

* Democrat Nevada State Sen. Dina Neal has proposed taxing “digital goods sold in the state” – such as streaming music and videos.

* Meanwhile, Democrat Assemblywoman Natha Anderson wants the Legislature to consider imposing a “wealth tax” on successful Nevadans despite a constitutional prohibition against any kind of income tax in the state.

* Apparently, this pair of toxic socialists either didn’t hear of didn’t believe Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo when he said in a debate last year that “I will not raise taxes. Never.” Speaking of which…

* The University of Nevada Reno (UNR) posted a photo of former Nevada GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval with incumbent Gov. Lombardo. To which Nevada Republican National Committeewoman Sigal Chattah tweeted, “Birds of a feather…”

* Now, I have no political love for Sandoval - who gave us the largest tax hike in state history as governor and refused to fund the GOP’s ground-breaking school voucher program in 2015. But to suggest Lombardo and Sandoval are cut from the same cloth is more than a stretch and a cheap shot.

* Lombardo has been in office for just three short months and has proposed school choice, election reform, getting tough on crime and no tax hikes. He’s the UN-Sandoval. So why is the GOP Committeewoman attacking the incumbent GOP governor?

* Well, she’s not…or so she says. In response to the backlash over her tweet, Sigal says she only meant that they are both Republicans. And if you believe that one, you probably believe ex-Gov. Sisolak’s COVID shutdown was based on “science.”

* Come on, Sigal. The meaning of “birds of a feather” is far more readily understandable as a saying than, say, “hang him from a crane.”

* Speaking of Gov. Lombardo, he announced yesterday that he was appointing longtime Republican small business champion Clara Andriola to a vacancy on the Washoe County Commission.

* I worked with Clara a lot back in the days when I was living in Carson City. She’s a doer, not a talker. Congratulations, Clara. Break a leg.

* The hallway catfight between Las Vegas City Councilwoman Victoria Seaman and former Councilwoman Michele Fiore is now in the court system, with Seaman suing the city’s taxpayers over the incident.

* According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a city investigation into the incident determined that Seaman “waved her finger in Fiore’s face” and when Fiore swatted it away, “Seaman kicked Fiore in the shin before she was thrown to the ground.”

* One big happy family.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

“My father, Coach Jerry Tarkanian, constantly emphasized that his players win with class and lose with dignity. … I have taken this advice to my new profession, politics. With my win-loss record in elections, I must be the most dignified politician ever.” – Douglas County Commissioner Danny Tarkanian
