* In the latest voter registration report from the Nevada Secretary of State, the number of active registered Democrats dropped by 779 while the number of active registered Republicans increased by 278.
* The statewide Democrat lead now stands at 51,193.
* Sam Brown made it official yesterday. He’s running again for U.S. Senate. His main GOP opponent in the primary is perennial gadfly Jim Marchant.
* Still waiting in the wings, deciding on pulling the trigger, is Tony Grady, who came in second in the GOP primary for lieutenant governor last year.
* So, liberal blubber-blogger Jon Ralston has his tighty-whities in a twist over Megan Barth of the Nevada Globe landing an exclusive sit-down over the weekend with former President Donald Trump, referring to the interview as “comedy gold.”
* Dripping with disdain. Green with envy. One of the seven deadly sins.
* Congrats to Megan – our “Breitbart Award” winner this year - on not only landing such a great interview, but also on making Ralston’s head explode.
* Nevada GOP National Committeewoman Sigal Chattah continues to fumble and bumble around politics in her crusade against Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo.
* In response to her recent lawsuit against the governor over an election worker safety bill, columnist David Colborne ripped the pleading to shreds, noting that…
“She obviously failed to read the bill she claims her clients seek to overturn and she failed to proofread or edit her filing of obvious technical errors before submitting it to a court of law.”
* The thin-skinned Chattah Box responded on Twitter by calling Colborne an “amateur.” But at least she didn’t write that he should be hanging from a crane. Progress!
* Speaking of Chattah, she’s also sued on behalf of the Nevada Republican Party to block GOP voters from voting in a presidential primary next year, arguing the party wants it to be settled in a caucus instead.
* Yesterday, Carson City Judge James Wilson denied her motion.
* The party is expected to hold a caucus anyway, in addition to the primary election – which is going to totally confuse most voters. These people could screw up a two-car funeral.
* Heard it Through the Grapevine: Chatter that former State Assemblywoman Michele Fiore might challenge Nye County Assemblyman Greg Hafen in the GOP primary next year.
* However, a source close to Fiore tells me she’s not running. Bummer. That would’ve been one heckuva fun race.
* As predicted yesterday, Donald Trump has now officially endorsed Jesse Law for re-election as Chairman of the Clark County Republican Party, making the announcement on his social media site.
* The election will be next Tuesday. A candidate debate hosted by the Nevada Republican Club will be held today at the Ahern Hotel.
